this is herborn, germany:
sometimes
i get to work here.
but as soon as i travel anywhere, it seems to start raining.
but eventually
it stops.
town is really old.
(with some newer touches)
Next door to the hotel where we held meetings,
there was a yard labeled 'ZOO'.
The only animals around were
these little guys loitering around the fence where they hadn't already chomped the grass to
nubbins.
Any hotel with goat zoo next door is a
hotel i'll return to.
the greatest part about herborn is
the hills above the town....
the forests and fields up there have a network of paths and trails leading to who knows where.
hopefully more goat zoos.

I didn't think areas like that existed in Germany outside my mission boundaries.
V. here... I love the buildings in the town. How fun to get to know a little town. You are pretty lucky to find a travel expert who knows about hotels in Germany with a goat zoo next door!!!
which mission were you in Matt? and do you have any special requests for my next trip back?!
At the time it was called the Germany, Munich/Austria mission. It included the cities of Innsbruck, Salzburg, Vienna, Munich, Stuttgart, and Nuremberg. I spent a little time in Innsbruck, but most of it was cities around Munich and Stuttgart. So Schloss Neuschwanstein, the Eagle's Nest, and the Black Forest were all included. Herborn reminds me of the towns I visited in the Black Forest I guess.
As far as requests... Hmmmmm. A cuckoo cuckoo clock from the Black Forest would be nice. Haha. But seriously... I don't need anything. The Super Dickman's you sent me from your one trip that one time was super thoughtful.
how cool is that town!!!
