hands.

on a breakfast date some time ago, I tried butternut squash jam at Sitka and Spruce for the first time. yowzahs that stuff was good!

soooo, i finally i made butternut squash jam today. don't worry, i won't make you try it.
mine is definitely not the jelly+chunk stuff from Sitka--it's way more jammy. but it has a really good autumny taste... might be good with cinnamon next time.

this was from a simple no-pectin recipe found here. next i'd like to try strawberry-pineapple-kiwi, but i'm assuming i would have to do more of a jelly and use juice for the pineapple since the texture of the fruit gets a bit fiberish? any jam pros out there with a hotline?!
