this was up at Mason Lake! in snoqualmie forest. it's funny you say they all look like that maybe. cause i was noticing that it looks exactly like a couple of other lake pictures i have in the area. maybe we're in a holo-deck and all the trails actually go to the same lake...
I bet the forest service installs that same log at the outlet of every lake in the state. Either the forest service or beavers, but I'm sure they're some organization behind it.

Where is the forest pic taken? It looks like Lake Melakwa. But maybe all Washington lakes look like that? I'm not an expert...
