we biked to vancouver
for the olympics.
correction--we biked THROUGH vancouver
for the olympics.
(to spectate, we weren't competing,
turns out)
some of the highlights above
*partying with canadians (i'm a little over the color red, but they're GREAT PEOPLE)
*biking into downtown (i went with a group of GREAT seattle-ites who were more adept bikers than i--ie, they actually ride bikes more often than every 4 years, which is my average.)
*a miniature inukshuk (rock guy) olympic logo on the water front, built by yours truly and knocked down prematurely.
*the switzerland vs norway hockey game (i cheered for s because i've never been to n, but the n fans had better costumes--see below...)
*partying with canadian cops (also GREAT PEOPLE)
*totem poles at stanley park, hello indigenous art revival
also
*a postcard for A.
*bikes in elevators. *yellow goat crosses the border. jet setter!
*a friendly neighborhood cop. (this guy was great. and canadian cops will let you off easy if you sing their national anthem. they just love that song.)
*real vikings all the way from norway

V. here... Did you have a terrific time or what!!. loved the nordic costumes and the growly faces! And the policeman with the neck hold. Oh and the bicycles in the glass elevator. Actually, I guess I loved all the pics. Wish I could have been there.
how fun was that? How do you get lucky and live by the olympics 2x in a row?
Ha ha... so my family and I were also at the Norway v. Switzerland hockey game! And most of the other places these shots were taken. Come to think of it, we could have been 2 feet away from each other and never known in those crowds. Small world!
You are Crazy. (You have to understand that in the Spencer Cox family that term is reserved for the most endeared.)
yeahhhh!!!! Canada's the best! Their pavilion at the Expo was also AMAAAAZING!
nice pictures! ;-)
