my left toe is still numb.

-i don't know why.
-it's been numb since kilimanjaro.
-it doesn't hurt.
-it might be getting number.
-it could be a) a problem with my toe or b) a problem with my brain?
-it does not look like the pictures of frost-bite on google.
-do they make prosthetic toes?

As a matter of fact they do!

But they don't offer any support and they are pretty expensive from the looks of it. Let's hope it doesn't resort to that.

My toes do that too...especially in the winter. I think it is really a lack of blood circulating in the little piggies. Usually it takes a couple of days of dry warmth to get feeling back (that means it takes all winter basically)

i have a friend who had numb fingers most of winter after a mountaineering trip we did...he finally saw a doctor and the doctor said to just give it a little more time--eventually his fingers were fine...i'm debating on waiting a little while longer before i go to the doctor??

V.here... I guess your comment shows that time really can heal. Hope your toes are better at feeling now. Maybe try wool socks and heavier, supportive shoes. I guess I didn't realize Mt. Kilimajaro was that cold. It seemed like the coats in the photos were unbuttoned. Sorry, I didn't look so good. v
