feet: through the looking glass

I stopped over in london on the way home from last biztravel. (bonzai!)
Trying to be conscious of the time I had in town for my layover, I asked a man working at a street vendor if he had the time.

He gave me a look that I didn’t understand
(they speak english here, right?) and thrust his pointed finger in the direction behind me.

I turned around.

The structure behind me

(which I had been photographing for at LEAST the last 23 minutes),

was this:

duhhhh

.....

(backstory for the following pictures: sometimes i see shiny and/or colorful things for less than a dollar and i buy them. dad would call it unhealthy. can't help it. you should see me in japanese 100 yen stores. it's a hot mess.)

so here are pics from my daytrip taken withe my very favorite 99-cent-Michael's-bargain-bin purchaes...
i present to you, my looking glass:

westminster tube station (the dodgey end); westminster abbey; big ben; parliment; the london eye.
i want to go back and be able to explore for reals...what's the best stuff to do around Britain anyways?
