It's late
and I'm still up reviewing
refrigeration schematics.
Weird, like I'm grown up.
Our meetings ended with daylight to spare
so I wandered around downtown Zurich
(I purposely zig-zagged in order to cross 7 bridges over the same lake)
to a snack bar (turns out it was literally a bar. With snacks.).
I got a donner kabob--took it to go
so I could walk the lake
and eat.
The guy at the bar (who said I looked Columbian
but looked way more Columbian than me)
wrapped the kabob carefully
in a napkin
then foil.
Walking past the lake
I stopped and watched
Cause there was some roller skating school
Doing kid performances in this square
They were doing hecka cute things like this:
So naturally
I stood
and ate
and watched.
Absent mindedly.
Several minutes went by until I looked back down at
my diminishing meal.
Beyond the bites taken from the kabob,
there were several (four-ish? five-ish?) bites worth
missing
out of the top edge of the
napkin.
But no napkin pieces left in my mouth.
Cool.

Jill, you make me laugh out loud . . . literally.
I love your cute little experiences but most of all I like the way you tell them --- I find myself amused and chuckling to myself even several days after. Keep us laughing!!!
V. here...YUM!!Swiss style. Love the kinder school skate performance. This kind of stuff makes travel priceless. You must be in a beautiful place if the lake has 7 bridges. Glad you enjoyed yourself..I think of you lots. Goodluck on you refrig schematics.
oh, hee hee hee! that is so funny.
cool.
I miss the döner kebab. When I lived in Germany my diet mainly consisted of those; with some apfel schorle or a bottle of karamalz (the German equivalent of root beer) to drink and a box of Super Dickman's.
glad you're back safe. i can't wait to see more!
including GAR pictures.
