--mount dickerman--
sunny days in seattle
mean the city will be
swarming
with the hoardes of people
that have been tucked
safely
indoors
(and out of the way)
all winter.
saturday's strategy
for escaping the crowds...

h and i take a day trip up mount dickerman, in snoqualmie natn'l forest...

it's a georgeous trail, through prime washington gnome forest...

up to 3900 ft, then snow, but still t-shirt weather...

the whole day, there was a sundog halo around the sun...no camera tricks...

the view from 5723 ft is unbeatable...
good thing yesterday was prime,
cause today the allergies
have hit. i'm now reduced to
chillin at home
with small wads of
kleenex
plugging
up
my nose.

bonzaiiiii!

V. here... This is very educational. Before this I have never heard of a sundog halo. Interesting way to escape a sunny day.
