I'd argue it's EM Forster's best short story, by far. Approximately my favourite anyway. That's what this road leading into the clouds reminded me of, when we were walking to the art fair. When I stopped to take a picture, a stranger lady stopped and asked me "Exactly what are we taking a picture of?" I don't blame her for missing the point of the picture. In fact, I probably would have missed it myself if b hadn't pointed it out to me; but the thing is, she used the first person plural when actually addressing me. And for whatever reason, that really really irks me. Not always, but usually.
